Description
Zeramarez Garlic
Zeramarez is a hard neck, purple striped garlic. It is a NEW garlic on the garlic scene. It was bred by Avram Drucker of Garlicana Farm in Oregon. It was selected for its flavor (described as hot and spicy when freshly dug), as well as its beautiful coloring and productivity.
My large bulbs were very impressive. So much so that I have kept all of them for replanting next year so I can once again offer this variety for sale. The generous cloves are all wrapped up in beautiful purple and pink stripes. Generally a later harvested variety, it offers moderately good storability.
Culinary
Known for its rounded, complex flavor and strong upfront kick. When eaten raw, it has a fiery, sharp bite—some gardeners even consider it one of the hottest garlics available. However, unlike some intensely spicy varieties, its heat does not linger long on the palate.
How Big are the Garlic bulbs?
Garlic Seed bulbs measure over 1.75″ across
Garlic Culinary bulbs measure less than 1.75″ across.
