Description
Spanish Roja Garlic
This heirloom variety has more than a 100 years of history. Its flavor can be described as deep, rich, and complexed. Prefers to grow in areas with cold winters. Bulbs can be large, and they’re flat bottomed. Plant your bulbs in nitrogen rich soil, and they should size up well for you. I believe most hard necks prefer cooler areas than the heat and humidity we have in Kentucky. So you northern growers will do well with this variety!
Culinary
A hot and spicy garlic, this is touted as one of THE best garlic varieties to dry and make your own garlic powder from!
