Back in stock for 2020 due to a planting error (in its favor)!!! Silverskin garlics are the last garlics to mature each season, and they store the longest. Wrappers are tight and creamy white. This is a great garlic for braiding. When grown in northern (cooler) temperatures, Silver White can have quite a bite when eaten raw. It's a lot mellower when cooked.

Silver White (as well as Silver Rose) grows into a very tall, thin plant (probably what makes it good for braiding). I find that it tends to fall over in the garden, even though it's not ready to harvest yet (but you can harvest it at that time, if you want). Once acclimated to my garden, it produced a lot of mostly medium and big bulbs.

This was one of the LAST varieties I harvested this year. Even though the tall, skinny plants tend to fall over, they don't rot in the ground like other varieties.

I will continue to grow Silver White for as long as it continues to perform well for me.

Quantities listed are for bulbs over 1.75" If you want smaller bulbs, they are listed as culinary bulbs and will measure less than 1.75" across.
