Silverskin garlics are the last garlics to mature each season, and they store the longest. Wrappers are tight.
Morado is a Silverskin in the Creole subgroup of soft neck garlics. When stressed, it forms a scape and acts like a hard neck garlic. Wrappers tend to have some purple striping on them. VERY FIRM BULBS!
I have been trying to get this garlic to size up for me for several years. I started with only the smallest cloves, so I knew it would take a few years. This year I've gotten the biggest bulbs yet.
Seed bulbs are at least 1.75" across. Anything smaller is listed as culinary bulbs
